    Hey Zee Zee!

I cannot speak for the other comment, but I just wanted to reach out on this one to tell you that we are definitely working on increase the chord vocabulary options in the edit mode!

Beside that, we are also considering allowing some form of 'personal notes' that one can use to remind oneself of specific things.

I can understand that it can feel like relatively simple things to add from end-user perspective, but trust me that one can quickly run into technological obstacles. We are of course going to deal with those regardless, and do keep us on our toes!

Hi Menno, Thanks for the reply. Appreciated. That's encouraging news. There's loads of extra chord types that would be really useful (maybe include them in a separate tab "advanced chord" drop-down menu to avoid over-cluttering the existing drop-down menu); the ability for an improver to show a "custom made" chord would be best imo (ie so the person can pick from a menu of individual signs like say #9, b13 b5 or whatever to build-up/make a "tailor-made" chord, or say add b5 to a major chord or whatever).....I appreciate though that might be a headache technology-wise. That's why I suggested the very simple "comment box" solution; that way all the detailed designations for a complex chord can go into that box and the improver can just write a comment like say "line 2, 3rd bar, the chord is actually xyz". The comment box thing is used on masses of blogs etc so it must be an easy thing to do/bolt-on. The box thing should be to tell other people about the more complicated chord voicings (its not really needed to remind yourself) So that comment box needs to be accessible to everyone to read. Cheers Zee

Ah, I better understand what you mean with the comment box now.

The unfortunate side effect of having any kind of user comment feature with free text is the immediate need of monitoring of inappropriate messages; there should be some out of the box solutions to enable something like it, but we would have to look into such possibilities.

What you are suggesting in terms of custom made chords is actually exactly what we are aiming for; and the type of examples you mention (and more!) will be covered.

I hear what you say, but people making inappropriate comments seems to me a very remote possibility. Would it be a major hassle for someone at Chordify to look at the improvement comments say once every week or so to delete inappropriate things and ban nutcases/spammers? Loads of forums/blogs/FB's have admins/moderators that deal with this. Its just seems a shame for maybe a 1 in 100 risk to get in the way of a very-easy "fix".
