Hello,
Thanks for the feedback, sorry if the experience isn't as expected with the new feature - it has been a popular request from the Chordify community over several years so this was always on our radar to implement. You can turn the lyrics off though if you click the grey 'Lyrics beta' button.
Please reach out to: support@chordify.net if we can help with anything else.

I sure wish that there was some way to get the powers that be to understand just how much of a Problem they are creating every time they insist that someone with a guitar strapped to them must use a mouse any more than is strictly necessary to use the site. It's becoming infuriating.

I understand, entirely. I'm not so much put out that they added the lyrics as they've removed the ability to toggle them off without constant attention. This is the screenshot I sent them of my view on the tv that my laptop is displaying chordify on during practice.
They told me the toggle that was there last week and has since disappeared was the way to turn it off.... Maddening.

I want to completely disable this feature in my interface. I don't sing, I only play bass. I don't want or need this feature and it adds no value for me.
It's inconvenience and frustrating to have to manually turn it off whenever I bring up a new song. And I want the screen real estate that it's consuming back again.
How can I completely get rid of this annoyance? -
Hi Oliver Stan & Fred
Interesting that Chordify users have been clamoring for some time to get lyrics added as a feature. I hope personally that one day the chord chart and song words can be downloaded as a combo to get a proper songsheet in any key.
Anyway I agree that on the strength of recent feedback a setting on the ribbon to turn the lyrics off permanently until the user chooses to turn on again, would solve it. So lyrics ON would be an option.
I'm a bass player too Fred (upright double bass). So good luck to you. Regards Ross from New Zealand.
