Saving edits
Even if I edit and save using sharps (#), when I come back it's always reverted to flats (b). I then have the extra step of selecting edit and then selecting (#); sometimes I forget and don't notice until I'm into the song. I then have to stop, change to a # and start over. It's tedious and less than ideal.

I personally haven't had the issue so not sure I can relate to it, however i have noticed that many times a song I am playing will show the chord Gbm and at first I would change the chord on my edits until "DUH" struck me and I realized that Gbm in "their" terms is F#m in mine and I automatically play the F#m.....
I changed several of my songs from F# to Gb, saved them and when I opened them the edit was still there....
also reversed the chords from b to # and worked fine

That's the issue. Any edited song saved with #s (sharps) automatically reverts to bs (flats) when you return later to the song. Songs saved with flats don't have this problem. If you forget to change it back to sharps each time you return to the song, you get part way through the song and then Gbm shows up instead of F#m, Bb instead of A#, Dbm instead of C#m and so on, it requires an immediate knowledge of the flats sharp counterpart. Just one more thing to confuse me. This doesn't happen on every song I've edited and saved, which adds to the confusion and my forgetting to change it to #s before playing.
