Adjust the placement of lyrics?

I love the lyrics feature, but I am used to singer/songwriter representation where the chords are listed along with the words. When I select Elvis Presley can’t help falling in love with you, the screen shows the words and chords horizontally as i like for about a second, then the top half of screen turns into the blocks with chords arranged in measures, and the words are in the second half. This representation makes no sense to me and I can’t see a way to change it. What I am doing wrong? Thanks!
