Feature Request – Separate Volume Control for Song Playback
Dear Chordify Team,
First of all, thank you for your fantastic app – I use it and really enjoy it!
I’d like to suggest a feature that could greatly benefit users with more complex hardware/software setups. I hope you’ll consider it for a future update.
My setup:
I use a Roland FP-90X digital piano connected via USB-B to USB-C to an iPad Pro M2. On the iPad, I run Pianoteq 8 Stage, which I use as a sound engine. I have configured Pianoteq to continue outputting sound even when it’s running in the background – for example, when I switch to Chordify to play along with a song.
The issue:
When I start playback in Chordify, the volume of the song is extremely loud compared to the Pianoteq piano sound. The only way I can reduce the playback volume is by lowering the overall volume on the Roland piano itself – but this also lowers the volume of Pianoteq, making it impossible to achieve a proper balance. As a result, it’s very difficult to play along because I can barely hear my piano.
My request:
Would it be possible to add a separate volume control for the song playback in Chordify? Just like you already offer for the chord track – but additionally for the actual audio track. Even a simple volume slider (not just an on/off toggle) would be incredibly helpful.
I believe many other users with similar setups would also appreciate this functionality.
Thanks for considering my request – and keep up the great work!
Best regards,
