I agree! very easy to fix, at least let us color-code the sections, I'm using this service to teach my elementary school students to play simple songs and its really painful to go back or forward or to move between sections of a song without markers.

Still important. Also need to be able to add blank or “do nothing” bars to allow thing to line up.

I agree with this idea, but also propose an alternative which I would find even more useful: Can we simply "drop a marker" in the song time line which we can name eg Intro, Verse 1, Verse 2, Middle 8, Outro, End etc If this was printed out on the chord sheet it would be very useful

I'd like to add my vote for this feature. I would find markers for song sections very helpful, and the fact that I can't do that makes Chordify much less helpful.

Yes I definately agree with this proposal.

I would certainly give some structure to the song that can be viewed when playing, but especially if printing out the chords.  Currently the print out shows as a continuous stream of chords.

In fact I have printed them out and written in the song sections using a red pen.  So why not be able to do this as an edit.  When one person does it, everyone benefits.  Even the basics for intro, verses, chorus, instrumental, outro.  (However many songs have pre-chorus, bridge sections and other parts of course)

What say you ???  Regards Ross from NZ

Yes, this is a very important feature, I spotted this missing thing after 5 mins of usage... So, please, try to provide a solution for this, it is really a helpful thing.

I agree, adding the ability to mark a song by verse chorus bridge (etc) structure would be very helpful.

I've been hoping for this to be addressed for years, as understanding structure seems such an essential part of learning a piece of music. I can understand the algorithm is probably not able to do this automatically, but I'd love to see this implemented even as a manual feature.

? does this company employ any software developers? Yes, manual, color code the block at the beginning of verse/pre/chorus/bridge/outro

I was just about to make a new request for this feature. This would be a huge help!

Hi All.  Interesting thread isn't it.

Been rolling on now for 5 years and David has picked it up again.

All the best, Ross from New Zealand.

It’s such a shame because Chordify is a really good app in other ways and I think the chord detection has improved. I have also been hoping for sections for about 5yrs. I am tempering my expectations but would love to be wrong some day. I wonder if it’s just really technically difficult to implement this for some reason??

This is an excellent idea. I'm surprised that it has not been implemented yet... after 5 years!
