too newbie?

I'm 46 and just starting on my adventure and its tough, I find myself getting frustrated and discouraged probably because I don't know what I'm doing.  Idk if maybe chordify isn't where I should be being that I'm basically throwing myself into a sink or swim type situation instead of getting the fundamentals down first.  Would be nice if there was a begginers section that at least taught a ladder logic type progression.  But here I am paid script and tryn the damn thing.  Any suggestions would be great
