Chordify Detects Wrong Key

There is a problem with Chordify.

I uploaded a song file (strummed acoustic guitar). Chordify analysed the chords, and they are all exactly right. It also identified four of the main chords: D A G & F#m.

Unfortunately, it identifies the Key as A, when it is actually D.

I think this is a bug, because when you look at the list of chords used: all of these chords are used in D Maj, however a G chord is not used in A Maj (it would be G#). One reason this is a problem is when I generate a PDF chord sheet it indicates the key as being A (three #s) and not D (two #s).

I need to either be able to edit the key Chordify thinks the song is in without altering the chords, or re-scan the song in a way that will detect the correct key.

Can anyone suggest a solution?

  I have the same issue on a regular basis. I shows the right chords but misidentifies the key. Seem like a simple request. I mean, you can Transpose. It seems strange you can't notate a a different key.
