Problems with favourite list

When I’m sitting and scroll down my favourite list on my iPad, find a song to play, then when finished I’ll go back to the lost and the stupid list starts at the beginning again. That means I have to scroll the whole way down through the list again to find the spot where I find the last song, and there continues to search further down the list for next song I want to play. And the next time I go back from a song I played the list starts at the beginning again…. So stupid… when I have like 1000 songs or mor in my favourite list Why is the list not just staying at the spot where I find the last song I played, so I can continue from that spot…?
