    Hi Peter, 

    Badges are just fun ways for users to track their progress on Chordify! For example, you'll get a badge for:
    - playing along with a certain amount of songs (1, 40, 500)
    - for making your first edit, or more than one

    There are a bunch more 'hidden' throughout the site as well. So while these badges don't really give you anything other than simply giving you some insight into your progress, they do act as nice milestones and hopefully incentives!
