How nice it would be if there was an "option" to transcribe the chord letters into the Nashville Numbering System.

So instead of seeing  C   F   G, we would see   1   3   5   .  This option would allow those of us that use the number system (I play bass) to very easily play along without regard or even thought to the key being played.

Great Premium feature!!!!!!!!!

    I saw some songs showing Nashville numbers with no chord, but then I could not find it anymore. I wonder if it is already available and need to be set.

    For Nashville system to be useful, the key signature must be correct. However, I found the generated key signature is usually incorrect. I made a suggestion to chordify to allow user manually set the key without transposition (a new function). Their answer is that they will improve the key detection algorithm (a very difficult function to implement).

    My proposition is:

    1. chordify detects the chords as it is now

    2. user can optionally change the key signature without transposing the chords (a new and easy function to implement)

    3. user can then convert the chords to Nashville notation based on the user updated key (another new and easy to implement function)

    The beauty of this approach is that the Nashville converted chords will tell if the user defined key is correct or not when played.

    If you are a Band-in-a-box user, you would know that they have this function: change key with transposition, and change key without transposition. This is how the problem can be solved. Chordify can take it one step further to convert to Nashville system to create transcriptions for professional use.

    noice one frankie, band in a box looks great! any other cool apps / sites you use? hooktheory / hookpad is quite good but they usually dont have full song structures on there, often just the chorus.

    Before Chordify, I use "Transcribe!" to do manual transcription. It allows you to mark sections, measures, and beats so you can identify the song structure easily, e.g. A-A-B-A-C. 

    Chord detection of Band in a Box and Audacity are not as accurate as Chordify so I only transcribed manually until I encountered Chordify which is quite accurate except for colored chords.

    I now started to play in Nashville notations because I don't need to spend time figuring out the chords. However the key needs to be correct to properly convert to Nashville notation.

    Even if it was oversimplified and had key detection errors here and there, this would still be 200% more useful than the app is now.

    1. Nashville notation - yes vote from me. If this is already available, I just don't know how to get there. I did see Nashville notation displayed before.

    2. Allow user to change the key value without changing the chords.

    That would be 1-4-5 ... C-F-G ... 1-3-5 is the triad ... not the chord in Nashville numbers ...

    Agree. I tend to work with Nashville number system. I kept looking for this feature, couldn't find it.
