Hello Jacques.  Here are my thoughts.

Chordify is the best tool around I think for honing your bass art.

Using bass often needs impovisation around the root note.

Plus the bass usually provides the groove behind the song so there is not a standard pattern.

And also the little add-ins the bass gives such as playing the fret note before the root note and using the 4ths and 5ths to the root note.to fill it out.  I find it's often done by feel rather than a rehearsed set piece.

Just some other thoughts to our bass players.

Also I should add, the Transpose fuction in Chordify now changes the key to the audio as well as the chords displayed.

So If the singer changes key from C to D, then make a change in Chordify, and the bass player can then play along in the new key D.  This is a nice flexible feature.

A singer in one of my groups always does this, say changing from C to Bb, or G to F#, or Db to E, so this is really where you need the transpose feature working for you.  It's great to practise too.  Just a thought on this feature.

Finally and as a suggestion.  Bluetooth what you use to Chordify to a larger speaker unit and crank up the bass settings.

You will then hear the bass more clearly and distinctly from the other instruments.

PS.  I even use the car stereo to listen, even when it's parked in the garage.  !!!

Hope these thoughts help.  Cheers Ross from NZ

I’ve just tried the transpose button on my iPad, but the audio did not change.

It should mate, because that's what it's designed for.

Lodge a reqyest and give them the song title as well so they can test it out at head office.

    Cheers Ross.
